Meet Govindraj. He is a blind man from a town outside the city of Vellore in the state of Tamil Nadu in the south of India. Here you can see him demonstrating the bell that he attached to his walking cane. He is the inventor of the blind label maker - a way for blind people to make braille labels. This is the project I'll most likely be working on optimizing for my thesis. Yesterday we got the chance to meet him and go to a blind school and let them play around with the prototypes - two which Govindraj had made and one that I had made out of legos.
