Pond hockey wonders

Pond hockey has been a staple of my winter outdoor activity. One of my professors and mentors at Thayer, named John Collier, has a pond behind his house and invites people over 4 or 5 times a week to play. Playing outdoors on beautifully maintained ice is one of my highlights. Playing in the evening as the sun sets and the flood lights come on and we turn on the light up puck can't be more beautiful surrounded by New Hampshire forest and good folk. Ellen came to visit me an early weekend in January and we got out there together and afterwards enjoyed a lunch at King Arthur Flour Bakery. I'm thankful for her friendship!
